Rogelio "Onyok" Getigan, assistant coach of Adamson Women's Volleyball Team took the role of being the new head coach of Lady Falcons as he replaced coach Airess Padda.
The three-time Palarong Pambansa and head coach of Baby Falcons was announced by Akarisports.com as the new head coach of AdU WVT last March 1 following three straight losses of Lady Falcons in the UAAP Season 81 Volleyball Tournament.
"Actually, nagulat talaga ako dahil nasa NCR meet ako no'n tapos nabalitaan ko na lang na naka-post na yung pangalan ko do sa ano sa Facebook," Getigan said on being the new head coach of the Lady Falcons.
"Syempre, mayroon [pressure] pero mas nangingibabaw sa akin yung saya kasi ito yung pangarap ko talaga," he pointed out that it was only his ultimate dream to coach a school from the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP).

Despite the difficulties on taking the role mid-season, Getigan catches up from the losses through acknowledging the need of Lady Falcons to adjust especially on trainings. As a newly-appointed head coach, Getigan wants to impose discipline and focus during trainings of the Lady Falcons.
Eli Soyud, team captain of Lady Falcons, expressed in an interview her thought on the coach replacement, "Wala naman kasi part naman si coach Onyok ng coaching staff namin, so parang wala namang pagbabago."
Getigan mentored the Philippine team in the 10th Asean Schools Games in Malaysia. He also steered Kings' Montessori to the Rebisco Volleyball League National Finals against Team Hawaii.
