Adamson holds 9th Falcon Run

Approximately 5,500 students, faculty, administrators, alumni, guest, and employees took part in the activity which aimed to raise funds for various scholarship programs of the university and promote the culture of giving as well as engaging to a healthy lifestyle.
To head start 87th Founding Anniversary of Adamson University (AdU), the annual Falcon Run was held last February 16 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex, Pasay City.

When asked for what is new in this year’s Falcon Run, Mrs. Genevieve Badong-Viñegas, Fundraising Coordinator of Office for Institutional Advancement (OIA) said, “Nagkaroon tayo ng Falcon Kit, first time iyon. So, meron iyon t-shirt, race bib, multi-function pen, string bag, and water pouch.”
Students first had a zumba warm up through an instructor early Saturday morning to warm up prior to Falcon Run proper. At around 6:00AM, Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM, the University President fired the gun for the 3k participants followed by the 5k participants.
After the fun run, the winners are awarded with medals, certificate, and cash price. Winners for 3 kilometer run in Basic Education Department are Jeremy Toriano, Patrick Pelingon, and Vincent Rivera for male category who are all from Grade 9. Female category on the other hand was dominated by Niña Khaye Diego and Aiza Corral, both Grade 9 students, and Catherine Dela Rosa who is a Grade 8 student. For Senior High School, Nathaniel De Guzman, Elijah Jupiter and Mark Robles who are all Grade 11 students won for male category. For female, Mariel Escalante, KC Inahid, and Paula Aquino won in the 3k run.
Winners for 3k run from Administrators/Faculty/Employee are Mr. Parreñas Aquilino of OAR, Mr. Rommel Lipata of PFGSO, and Mr. Ande Luna of Social Science Department. Ms. Joanne Quintos from BED, Ms. Maribel Belleza from Languages Department, and Ms. Jhudee Bundoc aced the race for female 3k run.
The 5k winners from college students are Jose Lapuos, Raphael Mallari, and John Tubian for male category while Blessing Amos, Loveign Lugod, and Remae Recaña are for female category. Winners for 5k run from Administratos/Faculty/Employee male category are Dominic Olmedo, Paul Belleza, and Karl Quevedo. For female, winners for 5k run are Joanne Quintos, Maribel Belleza, and Jhudee Bundoc.
For Alumni/Guest/Parents, Alden Eugeno Batch 2018, Raymart Pacheco Batch 2018, and Paul Zion Macaldo from Batch 2014 went home with half medal for male category. Female category winners are Joy Dacoron of MBA, Anwarlyn Macion of Batch 2016, and Lorna Orno Vejano Batch 1893.
The 9th Falcon Run is organized by the Office for Institutional Advancement (OIA) in collaboration with various Adamson University’s offices, departments, colleges, and organization as well as the sponsors. All are encouraged to join the Falcon Run next year as there will be more surprises in celebration of the 10th year anniversary of the run for scholarships.

Revolutionary water cleaning agent Vigormin was given 3 minutes of fame after it was featured in ABS-CBN's late night news program "Bandila" early this year.
Vigormin, which aims to clean rivers and lakes and make ecosystems sustainable, was featured in the show's January 11 episode.
